My summer diet has begun.
Ice cream consumption has increased, produce is plentiful, hot dogs are hoppin’, I’ve got my eyes peeled for corn on the cob, I’m jonesing to grill, I’m chomping on chips and dip, and I need a soda or a cherry slushie in my hand at all times. Not really sure how people even attempt to lose weight during this season…what a waste.

The heat is on, but not the food
Sure, the Miami International Airport is beautiful. They’ve got lots of pretty glass and big displays of fish swimming in circles, but they are missing a key component to being a top airport—food! They have few fast food options that are legitimately fast and when I’m hustling and bustling from one flight to the next I need to have time to get food, not necessarily consume the...
Coca-Cola: quenching thirst since 1886
In case you are ever in need of a Coca-Cola at the end of a long day, there are several places I’ve found that will not fail you. Fail me, you ask? How could a Coke possibly fail me? Well, some establishments have Coke that is simply superior to others. Coke that is refreshing, crisp, cool (regardless of the amount of ice), and honestly thirst quenching. Ready for the list? I...

Top Reason to Clean Your Car
1. So when it’s finally warm enough to roll down your windows on the highway your students’ papers don’t go flying out the window.
Thank you for listening Chick-Fil-A
Either Chick-Fil-A is really in tune with what their customers want or they are reading my blog (I’m almost 100% sure it is option B, but I put option A in just for kicks).
In my most recent Chick-Fil-A run I had the privilege of dunking my hefty waffle fries in a pot of delicious Heinz ketchup. No more do I have to open packet after packet of ketchup only to scrape the heck out of my...

Wisconsin, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
At this point in the season, I’ve polished off several bottles of sparkling grape juice. With two Christmases still to go, I think there are a few more bottles and many more cookies yet to come.
Wisconsin, Day 2
Never doubt that during the holiday season you will bump into a solid representation of your family and friends at the Wausau Center Mall.
Wisconsin, Day 1
Getting to Wisconsin always seem to be an adventure for me. Year after year, my flights are delayed or canceled, but I usually don’t mind spending a little extra time in the airport. This year my flights were on time, snow was falling as I landed and I was excited to be picked up by my brother, brush my teeth and head to bed. But as I watched the orange suitcase go around on the luggage...

French Broad Chocolate Lounge (Asheville, NC)
Today I ventured to Asheville, North Carolina, for some adventuring and hiking. A friend had heard about this chocolate shop where they make the chocolate in front of you and you can drink it or something like that. We didn’t know what the place was called or where it was, but we miraculously stumbled upon it during our wanderings. And it was a good find.
The shop sells a variety of...
Subway (on Central)
It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that I ate at Subway today. However, I feel like I cheated on my usual Subway, the restaurant that gave me a free cookie last week because the owner has seen me there on many occasions. The Subway I ate at today was on the other side of my apartment and let me tell you, it was great.
I began judging from the moment I walked in, telling myself it...
From Chick-Fil-A (on Woodlawn Rd)
Here’s the thing about ketchup packets at a food joint with great French Fries, you just don’t get enough ketchup from them. You dip one of Chick-Fil-A’s great waffle fries and the whole packet is gone, gobbled up like it never existed. And then you have to crack open another packet, trying to be more conservative with your usage but you still only get 1.5 fries out of it. ...
Fast Food and Photography
Yesterday, while I was snacking on some Chick-Fil-A I realized that I analyze many aspects of fast food restaurants in the way that food critics might critique a new eatery. Thus, I have decided to give my blog a sort of theme (granted I love to stray from themes, so don’t hold me to) to put these thoughts into the written word. My blog will now revolve around Fast Food and Photography,...
